POSCO International, a prominent Korean company, is making a significant investment in Poland and the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region by constructing a new EV motor core production facility in Brześć, Poland. This strategic move aims to bolster their presence in the rapidly growing European electric vehicle market.
Facility Details and Production Plans
The new factory will span approximately 100,000 square meters and is scheduled to commence full-scale operations in the latter half of next year. Initially, the facility will produce 1.03 million drive motor cores annually, specifically for Hyundai and Kia’s European electric vehicles.
Long-Term Production Goals
By 2030, POSCO International plans to expand the factory's annual production capacity to 1.2 million drive motor cores, catering to major European electric vehicle brands.
