Compal Electronics to Establish Manufacturing Plant in Poland

Compal Electronics Inc (仁寶), a leading Taiwanese contract electronics manufacturer, has unveiled plans to build a new factory in Poland, focusing on the automotive electronics sector. This marks the company's first manufacturing venture in the European market.

In a recent statement on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Compal announced its intention to invest over NT$500 million (US$15.4 million) in the Polish facility. Through its Poland-based subsidiary, CGS Technology (Poland) Sp. z o.o., Compal plans to allocate approximately NT$77.7 million to acquire land in Czeladź, Poland. Additionally, the company will invest 12.29 million euros (US$13.31 million) in constructing the plant, bringing the total investment to over NT$500 million.

This strategic expansion aims to strengthen Compal's presence in the European automotive electronics market, leveraging Poland's advantageous location and skilled workforce.
