A nuclear joint venture will be set up under the memorandum of understanding signed by Russian Rosatom and Siemens AG yesterday in Berlin. The joint venture will focus on development of existing and new projects based on Russian pressurized water reactor technology, marketing and sales, construction of new nuclear power plants as well as modernization of nuclear plants being in operation now. The joint venture is also supposed to support business at each stage of nuclear fuel cycle – from fuel production to dismantlement of nuclear power plants. The Russian side will hold the major stake of 50% plus one share in the joint venture.
