Polish crane rental company Karmax has expanded its fleet with the addition of a new Grove GMK4100L-2 all-terrain crane. This acquisition comes from the local Manitowoc dealer, Zeppelin Polska. Karmax, which already operates a Grove GMK4100L-1, chose to invest in the GMK4100L-2 to update its fleet with a familiar and reliable model.
Supporting Infrastructure Growth
The introduction of the new crane comes at a crucial time as Poland's infrastructure development accelerates. Significant projects, such as billion-dollar rail upgrades and expanded nuclear power capabilities, are underway, necessitating efficient and versatile lifting solutions.
Key Features and Benefits
Karol Miśkiewicz, owner of Karmax, emphasized the crane's versatility and compact design, making it ideal for standard lifting tasks on busy construction sites where precision and control are essential. The crane is well-suited for environments with limited access.
-
Operator-Friendly Design: The new cab tilts to 20 degrees for improved visibility, enhancing operator comfort and efficiency during extended work periods.
-
Power and Capacity: The Grove GMK4100L-2 features 6.8 tonnes of onboard counterweight and can travel within 12 tonnes per axle limits, with a total counterweight capacity of up to 26 tonnes. It is powered by a Mercedes-Benz EUROMOT 5 engine.
-
Advanced Technology: Karmax opted for the Maxbase variable outrigger positioning system, offering enhanced stability and adaptability on-site.
With this latest addition, Karmax is well-equipped to meet the demands of Poland's growing infrastructure sector, providing reliable and precise lifting solutions for various projects.
