Production line for bumpers
This line is almost 60 m long. High grade components for the automobile industry are produced from aluminium extruded sections. The production steps are fully automatic deburring, stretch-bending, straightening, machining, cleaning, checking, marking Cycle: In 19 seconds only, a ready machined bumper is made from the aluminium profile. NC-controlled manipulators transport the work pieces from station to station. Three big bending and cutting presses care for optimal bending and stamping of the profiles. There are more than 30 NC-servo- and adjustable axes installed in the line - this is why it is extremely flexible for forthcoming modifications and changes of types of work pieces.
Production line for crash-boxes
This production line produces one left and one right crash-box in aluminium for the car industry. From section to finished crash-box in 12 steps: From section to finished crash-box in 12 steps: A side fork-lift truck loads the line with 6-m profiles and, in a fully automatic process, it delivers one customised crash-box every 7 seconds. The profile bars are separated, tested and sawn, the sawn lengths are fed as left and right parts to the tool line and processed according to program. The finished parts are brought out on buffer conveyors. At each station, the NC handler positions the workpieces correctly on a feed sled, where they are clamped and fed to the tool.
Production line for latches
In three-shift operation, this CNC controlled milling line produces from coil 8 million latches for the bicycle industry. Different types of latch.
Production line for shuttering profiles
From warehouse to warehouse Packs of up to 12-m long steel profiles are loaded by the warehouse crane. In a fully automatic process, various lengths and types of shuttering profile are produced, stacked in the pallet station and taken to the warehouse. Double mitre saw – NC controlled saw spacing Variable lengths of 600 mm to 3,300 mm and with different processing can be produced without resetting or retooling.

Concepts for customer specific requirements
Individual solutions for complex chip removal problems, tailor-made to the individual requirements are part of the self-image of our technicians and engineers. With a high qualification and an innovative thinking combined with a lot of experience, we design and manufacture in close contact with our customers tooling systems of highest precision for the µm-accurate machining of complex contours. Our standard programme constitutes the basis for a huge number of innovative special tooling solutions which get used and appreciated at our customers globally. In many cases it is the customer specific solution which opens up the full potential of our tooling systems and thus contributes to savings and an increase in productivity.
Counterbores
The easy handling of our adjustment systems is the basis for savings in the area of tool presetting as well as for achieving tight tolerances. In the diameter range from 6 to 34 mm different adjustment systems such as tapered screw adjustment and radial adjustment guarantee high certainty in process in mass production. At the same time it gives you a good portion of flexibility when producing only small lot sizes. These adjustment systems can also be used for cartridges according to ISO-measurements. Thus an interlocking connection between cartridge and tool holder is always guaranteed

Combined Oxyfired System
the melting end heating system with many advantages The Combined Oxyfired System® (CO-System®) is basically the combination of recuperative and oxyfuel melting ends. Whilst it has all the advantages of both, it has none of their disadvantages. With oxyfuel melting ends it is not possible to reuse the waste gas heat in the melting process. The combination of both burner types (recuperative and oxygen) in one melting end however permits reusing the entire waste gas heat to preheat the combustion air for the recuperative burners in the recuperators. Design of Combined Oxyfired System® 1. Recuperative burners 2. Oxygen burners 3. Entire waste gas 4. Recuperator 5. Combustion air 6. Preheated combustion air
Cross Fired Furnace
Regenerative cross fired furnaces are used for production capacities of above 220 t/d or because of space reasons also for smaller furnaces. The long flame and wide crown span are reasons that End Fired Furnaces above 450 t/d are not built any more, they are often replaced by the Cross Fired Furnaces at this range. Regenerators, burner neck and burners are located there laterally. The doghouse is situated at the front and over the whole width of the furnace. As alternative doghouse can be designed as two small charging front building. The burner necks are in step design and are subject to energy consumption in the different melting zones designed in different sizes. By special devices in the regenerators or in the waste gas channels the air / waste gas flow can be controlled in each burner neck. As at the End Fired Furnace all internals like barrier wall, deep refining area, melting boosting, bubbling system or throat boosting can be installed in the Cross Fired Furnace as well. Advantages - For high capacity furnaces up to 750 t/d (at float furnace up to 1000 t/d) - Temperature profile along the length of the furnace can be adjusted easily - At suitable designed superstructure a re-circulation of the flame is possible

The new tools can carry in their pockets either the S845 SNMU 1305... - square, double-sided inserts with 8 cutting edges or the ONMU 0505... octagonal, double-sided inserts with 16 cutting edges - the most economical insert regarding price per cutting edge. Both inserts have helical cutting edges and positive rake angles, featuring low power consumption and excellent surface finish. The new inserts are available in the most advanced SUMO TEC carbide grades. In the first stage, ISCAR will introduce the following SOE/SOF45 8/16 tool range: • Endmills in diameters 25 to 40 mm • Face mills in diameters 40 to 125 mm
HELITURNTG SIN
New Ceramic HELITURN Inserts with a Molded Chipformer ISCAR is introducing new HELITURN LNMX 1506..R/L-HT IS8 ceramic inserts with a molded chipformer. The new inserts combine the advantage of the HELITURN tangentially clamped insert system with the ceramic grade and a sophisticated molded chipformer. The tangential clamping is most important when using ceramic inserts, as by means of this method bending forces are practically eliminated from being exerted on the insert. The new insert can be used for high speed machining (500-1000 m/min) of cast iron. The LNMX 1506..R/L-HT IS8 insert is the ultimate solution for Fast Metal Removal when machining disk brakes, flanges, valves and other mass production parts made from cast iron.
MAXIN
Power Chuck - Heavy Duty Clamping Power for Fast Metal Removal With the MAXIN tool, only a small tightening torque compresses the frontal nose, providing an extremely high gripping force. It is designed for roughing and finishing applications in milling where high torque transmission, maximum accuracy, compactness and easy operation are required. Features: ● The clamping nut is not threaded (as in ER collet chucks) ● Designed for direct chucking of the tool shank (no need for intermediate collet) for maximum gripping force ● Sealed nut construction ● No axial drawback of the tool shank as chuck is tightened ● Thick wall construction to withstand greater side loading forces The high gripping force achieved by the MAXIN Power Chuck results from the shallow nose tapered cone with helical slot inside the internal chuck bore. It exerts a very high clamping force when the clamping nut is rotated in the axial direction. The shallow taper of the tool nose and the angled position of the needle bearing that sit in the cage create the axial movement of the clamping nut. This unique clamping mechanism eliminates axial movement of the shank while clamping, simplifying the preset process. Runout Accuracy: Maximum runout at 100 mm Overhang is less than 0.01 mm
PENTA 34
A New, Larger PENTACUT Insert for Economical Grooving, Parting and Recessing Following the very successful performance in parting and grooving of the PENTA 24 pentagonal insert, ISCAR has developed the PENTA 34 - a larger insert, for up to 10 mm depth of cut. Like the smaller PENTACUT insert, the PENTA 34 can be used for multifunction applications including grooving, parting, recessing and chamfering. The new family features: • A stronger insert for higher machining parameters. • A modified C-type chipformer with an expanded feed range of 0.05-0.25 mm/rev. • Excellent straightness and surface quality, especially on groove bottoms and sidewalls. • Very rigid clamping design. • Five cutting edges, which provide the most advantageous price per cutting edge.
SOLIDDRILL
Long Solid Carbide Drills ISCAR's new family of long solid carbide drills (up to 22*D) comprises drills in the diameter range of 5 to 10 mm. These drills feature low cutting force, excellent chip evacuation and have coolant holes through which M.Q.L. can be induced. M.Q.L. is a very efficient method to protect the cutting edge, lubricate the machined surfaces, and help to push the chips out along the chip gullets. It is very economical and environmentally friendly. The drills are made from ultra-fine solid carbide and are TiAlN coated, combining high toughness and wear resistance. In addition to general use application drills, ISCAR offers drills with dimensions specially designed for the automotive industry applications crankshaft lubrication holes, engine blocks, connecting rods, etc. Deep hole drills are also widely used in the die and mold industry and for machine tool parts.
